Faculty Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner

The University of Utah College of Nursing (CON) seeks an experienced psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner (PMHNP) who will serve as a Career Line faculty member to teach in the PMHNP specialty track and maintain a clinical practice in his/her specialty area.

This career line faculty member primarily will teach in the Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) program in the PMHNP specialty. Responsibilities include classroom and/or online didactic teaching, supervision of students in the DNP Scholarly Project courses, and clinical supervision of PMHNP students. The faculty member will provide input and feedback on student performance and progression in the program of study. Opportunities to teach in other areas depends on qualifications, certification, interests, and availability of courses. Other faculty expectations include ongoing input and feedback regarding PMHNP program development, curriculum development, college committee service, and professional activities/service. Development of clinically focused scholarship is an expectation for long-term retention and advancement in rank. The faculty member will provide PMHNP services within the College of Nursing Faculty Practice. The scope of practice is negotiable.

Director of the Psych Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) Program

The University of South Carolina, College of Nursing is seeking a qualified candidate eligible for the rank of Clinical Assistant, Clinical Associate, or Clinical Professor to fill a full-time program director for the PMHNP program and CON faculty position. In addition to teaching, this administrative position includes opportunities for clinical practice and research/scholarship activities are expected. Faculty appointment and salary are commensurate with the level of advanced practice clinical practice, teaching, leadership, and scholarship experience of the candidate.

Job Description 
The candidate would provide classroom instruction, day-to-day program operations, and assisting students toward successful program completion in conjunction with the Assistant Dean of Graduate Studies. The Program Director will have opportunities to maintain a clinical practice and participate in research/scholarship activities. The ideal candidate will possess knowledge and/or experience teaching psychiatric mental health NP curricula with the application of innovative classroom delivery, simulation methodologies and scholarship application. The candidate should have a demonstrated commitment to the professional development of nursing students, clinical practice, and leadership.

Earned doctorate in nursing (PhD or DNP), two years of teaching and mentoring of NP students; unencumbered nursing licensure; National Certification as a Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner and two years of direct practice as an APRN with Prescriptive Authority or eligibility in SC. Excellent written and oral communication skills, team building, self-motivation, and innovation in educational program offerings are expected. Basic Life Support (BLS) documentation is required.

Psychiatry Opportunities in Lehigh Valley, PA

Lehigh Valley Health Network (LVHN) and Lehigh Valley Physician Group (LVPG) are looking for multiple Psychiatric Metal Health Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants, for both inpatient and outpatient service lines for Adult and Pediatric services. Both experienced providers and new graduates (provided their training is closely related to the position) will be considered. Our Department of Psychiatry provides a full continuum of care in behavioral health from emergency evaluation to intensive care, partial hospitalization, outpatient follow-up, residential and consultation/liaison services. This growing department currently includes 24 psychiatrists, 17 APC's and 120 mental health professionals. Our inpatient behavioral health unit is located at our Muhlenberg campus in Bethlehem, Pa and has 65 beds, 13 of which are for adolescents.
