The University of Utah College of Nursing (CON) seeks a qualified Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) for an administrative faculty appointment as a Specialty Track Director. The Specialty Track Director is responsible and accountable for a combination of leadership, administrative, teaching, faculty practice, and/or service activities. The Specialty Track Director leads initiatives to attain educational goals and objectives, achieve quality outcomes, recruit and retain students, and ensure the vitality of the specialty track. The Specialty Track Director facilitates faculty development, participates in faculty evaluation and governance, leads and participates in administrative meetings, and serves as a resource and mentor to faculty and graduate students. The Specialty Track Director has an opportunity to provide PMHNP services within the College of Nursing Faculty Practice. Criteria: A DNP or PhD degree from an accredited School of Nursing and national certification as a PMHNP is required. At least 2 years of direct practice as a PMHNP, and an unencumbered Utah license as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse with prescriptive authority is required. The Psychiatric Nurse Specialist is a registered professional nurse who demonstrates clinical expertise through advance education, knowledge, and skills in area of practice and clinical nursing specialization. The Psychiatric Nurse Specialist provides expert clinical advice and instruction to nursing staff, patients and families, and other health care providers using advanced nursing knowledge and skills. The Psychiatric Nurse Specialist participates in the consultation, clinical teaching, staff development, staff orientation and evaluation for the designated area. Actively participates in a professional nursing organization and hospital wide initiatives. Required:
