Membership Information

Article 3, Section 1A of ISPN’s bylaws states:
“Membership in the ISPN shall be open to professional registered nurses who are interested in psychiatric-mental health nursing practice in all settings, clinical practice, education, administration, and/or research.”

ISPN Membership Categories and Fee Schedule

Full Membership ($150, $60, $10)

Professional registered nurses who are interested in psychiatric-mental health nursing practice in all settings, clinical practice, education, administration, and/or research are invited to join. Members are eligible to vote, serve on committees and hold office in the organization.

NEW for international members! ISPN has created two discounted full membership levels for those individuals living in LMIC as designated by the World Bank. 

Upper Middle and Middle Countries: $60
    Use discount code: WB_MIC
Low and Lower Middle Countries: $10
    Use discount code: WB_LIC

Student Membership ($35)

Students enrolled at least halftime in a graduate program in advanced practice psychiatric-mental health nursing are invited to join.  Student members enjoy all the membership benefits except voting and holding elected office.  We encourage student members to serve on committees and submit abstracts for the conference.

Retired Membership ($60)

Open to all members in good standing who retire from active professional life. Retirees engaging in part-time paid employment, totaling no more than 20 hours per week are eligible. Retired members will retain all the benefits of full membership. 

Gift of / Sponsor Membership

Think of a student - or two - whose membership you might sponsor by paying the student's first year of ISPN membership dues. A special way to reach out to graduates as well is to support their entry into ISPN by sponsoring their first year of ISPN membership dues.

  • ISPN’s membership year is July 1-June 30 and ISPN does not pro-rate dues.

  • Full Member Discounts are based on economies as defined by the World Bank.  A list of countries according to global economies is available at  The World Bank.
