Main office in Fort Washington, PA. Psychiatric Certified Nurse Practitioner needed for an adult psychiatric practice in Southeastern Pennsylvania. Must possess an MSN and be certified as an adult psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner (PMHNP) licensed in Pennsylvania and DEA certified. This is a full time position with on-call telephone coverage approximately 3 days each month. Nurse Practitioner will see patients in multiple long term care facilities and in our outpatient office in Fort Washington.

Requirements for the position include:

  • A Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing
  • BSN required
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience as a charge nurse or other equivalent leadership experience

  • BLS required from American Red Cross or Healthcare Provider Card from the American Heart Association

Psychiatric Nursing Supervisor-Sign On Bonus


Supervisor Psychiatric Nursing Provides leadership for all nursing units and clinical support areas during assigned shift. Monitors and evaluates performance of agency and temporary staff, especially nursing staff. This position will serve as the Supervisor of education and quality and will be a unit educator for Psychiatric services. Sign on bonus $3000 (applies to external applicants only)

Job Duties 

  • Provides leadership, coaching, and mentoring to staff. Responds to staff requests for managerial assistance. Notifies MOC/AOC as necessary
  • Determines, coordinates, and monitors the flow of patients between units to maximize patient safety and experience and the use of the organization's resources.
  • Evaluates the effectiveness of patient care and identifies any issues that affect desired patient outcomes.
  • Coordinates patient care services with staff, physicians, and other departments Responds to complaints/conflicts and manages through established channels. Makes administrative decisions in conjunction with the MOC/AOC


  • ADN, BSN required for hires/transfers after 1/1/15.
  • 2 years of nursing experience.
  • State licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
  • BLS through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer with card in-hand before start date.
  • Supervisor experience is preferred
  • Master's degree in Nursing or related field.
