Nurse Manager, Behavioral Health Unit: Pennsylvania Hospital is seeking a Nurse Manager of Behavioral Health. This position provides support across all Behavioral Health units and assumes 24-hour accountability for the operation of the designated patient care unit(s). This includes the provision of leadership to improve patient care, enhance professional development and achieve nursing goals.

Unit Descriptions: 4 Spruce is a 24-bed secure inpatient unit providing comprehensive, acute, short-term assessment and treatment for adult patients with a wide variety of psychiatric symptoms and conditions. 6 Spruce is an 18-bed secure inpatient unit providing comprehensive psychiatric treatment for adult patients with mood and anxiety disorders and geriatric patients 60 years and older with all types of psychiatric illnesses. Hall-Mercer Community Behavioral Health Center provides comprehensive outpatient services to Philadelphia residents in need. As part of Philadelphia’s Behavioral Health System, it is one of 11 community mental health centers, and has one of Philadelphia’s five Crisis Response Centers onsite.

Requirements:

  • Currently licensed as a professional nurse in the Commonwealth of PA.
  • BLS/CPR as a healthcare provider as per the American Heart Association.
  • BSN and MSN required. •5+ years of progressive nursing experience required with demonstrated leadership and management skills.

Adult Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner

Psychiatric Certified Nurse Practitioner needed for an adult psychiatric practice in Southeastern Pennsylvania. Must possess an MSN and be certified as an adult psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner (PMHNP) licensed in Pennsylvania and DEA certified. This is a full time position with on-call telephone coverage approximately 3 days each month. Nurse Practitioner will see patients in multiple long term care facilities and in our outpatient office in Fort Washington.

Johnson County Mental Health is looking to fill the position of Mental Health Registered Nurse (RN). Responsibilities include:

  • Provides comprehensive nursing services; assesses the holistic needs of individuals by incorporating family and environmental factors; collects and documents patient health history; measures and records vital signs; completes health assessments and performs limited exams; obtains, processes, and handles lab specimens; manages, controls and implements medication administration programs; performs minor procedures and treatments within designated area of specialty.
  • Completes and submits documentation regarding patient care and condition; reviews quality and effectiveness of services provided and documented by other service providers.
  • Provides patients and families with supportive resources; educates patients in areas impacting health, wellness, and daily living activities; develops and provides specialized health training and education to staff.
  • Provides case management, care coordination, referral and follow-up to individuals and/or families; evaluates outcomes, effectiveness of plans, and makes changes as necessary.

Vocational, Associate’s, or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or related program that meets the requirements for the Registered Nurse license required. Director of Patient Care Services - Mental Health and Psychiatric Services

CHKD seeks a passionate and experienced Director of Patient Care Services for a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to work collaboratively with the director of our mental health service line and our medical director for mental health to design a transformational mental health program for children, adolescents, and their families. This program will include the addition of a $60 million pediatric mental health facility that will offer a full continuum of mental health services for children, teens, and their families, throughout the Hampton Roads region and beyond. The Director of Patient Care Services will have responsibility for program development, daily planning, work scheduling, and managing designated service personnel, along with coordinating and directing the workflow and functions of the 48-bed acute inpatient mental health unit which will be part of this new facility, in addition to a 12 bed acute impatient mental health unit in the main hospital. CHKD is the only freestanding children’s hospital in the Commonwealth of Virginia and the only health system to build a freestanding pediatric mental health facility in our community.   • Minimum of five years of progressive mental health care leadership experience, preferably with children and adolescents
  • Master's degree in nursing.  A master’s degree in business administration, public health, healthcare administration, or a related field is acceptable provided the candidate also possesses a bachelor's degree in nursing.
  • Current Virginia state license as a registered nurse or a registered nurse holding a valid compact state license.
  • Professional knowledge of the areas of responsibility to include theory, practice, and administration to be able to direct planning and implementation of this program.
  • Strong background in clinical research and regulatory compliance.
  • Previous experience in managing research grants and clinical contracts preferred.
