Message from the Board of Directors About the 2022 Annual Conference

Dear ISPN Members and Annual Conference Participants,

After Board deliberations and feedback from ISPN membership, stakeholders, and the Redondo Beach hotel venue, we would like to inform our membership that a decision has been made to modify the ISPN 2022 Annual Conference to a virtual format. This decision has been made in abundance of caution after considering the unpredictable nature of the COVID pandemic and restrictions related to cancelling our hotel contract, should the pandemic worsen and limit travel in the early months of 2022. Our priority includes being proactive stewards of ISPN resources, as well as respectful of the diverse travel considerations of our members.

Although we will not be in person, we are excited for the opportunity to continue the ISPN tradition of connecting and exchanging ideas as a thriving psychiatric nursing community. Our past two virtual conferences have been well attended and successful, and we plan to expand opportunities for gathering and learning together as an international organization! We are grateful for our record high membership rate. With enthusiasm, we look forward to continuing to attract new members and registrants, as well as international conference attendees in the months to come. Our 2022 ISPN Conference is planned to be a wonderful opportunity to acknowledge, honor, and celebrate psychiatric nurses and the powerful research, clinical practice, and leadership work we do in alignment with our conference theme: The Power of Psychiatric Mental Health Nurses: Leading Innovations for Sustainable Health and Well-being. There also will be opportunities for rejuvenation, professional growth, reflection on our past, and envisioning our exciting plans for the future!

We are currently modifying the conference agenda to accommodate all confirmed presenters. If you were scheduled to present at ISPN 2022, we will be in touch with you directly.
